I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet. Rank knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Stephens on the ground. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.#T1# Stephens is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Rank off and has taken his back! Rank might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Stephens wants to control the position but Rank frees himself and scrambles - Stephens manages to regain control in side control.
Stephens wants to lay and pray for a moment but Rank keeps working. #SUB2# Stephens tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. Suns working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that. Suns landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent. The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Suns lands a nice short elbow. Oh damn, that looks pretty tight! Black is panicking - it looks like this one could be all over! Yes, Black is tapping! That was a very nice submission by Stephens.

#R1# Garcia Jr pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Stephens back to the cage. Garcia Jr follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver. Stephens shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it. Garcia Jr punishes Stephens's body with a nice straight punch. Garcia Jr misses with a two punch combination.
Stephens takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Garcia Jr lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Garcia Jr. Garcia Jr works Stephens's body with a nice hook. Garcia Jr smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Garcia Jr lands a slapping body shot.

I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Captain is looking to advance position but Stephens won't allow it. Captain is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Captain is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.
