That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.#KD2# Try sends Adams crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Try is motioning to the referee to let Adams up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet!#ROC2#Adams is rocked! Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. #R1# Adams shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it. #CUT2#It looks like Smash Adams has been cut. Saari looks for a takedown but Adams sprawls well.#TD# Adams shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Saari's guard. Saari working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Adams. Adams working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Saari's head. Saari is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Adams trying to stand up but can't free himself from Saari's guard. Adams is in close to Saari's body, working some short punches and elbows. Saari doesn't do any damage with a couple of strikes from the bottom.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Saari trying to keep a closed guard but Adams is proving a slippery customer.
Adams sitting in guard, not really doing much. Adams has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Adams lands a couple of digs.#T1##SUB2# Saari working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Adams doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Oh but Saari is tightening it up a little... Adams has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Adams reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Adams taps out! Nice BJJ there by Saari!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:28 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle Choke). Nuori Saari! |
