#R1# Urie shoots in looking for a takedown but Shibata manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Urie's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Shibata has his takedown stuffed#CL2# and Urie counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Urie. Shibata lands with a light punch inside. Shibata is pushing Urie up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word. Urie is trying to push Shibata away but Shibata has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.#BC# Shibata breaks the clinch.
#TD# Shibata closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Urie throws Shibata to one side and escapes! We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!#TD# Shibata shoots in and bounces Urie off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. Urie looking to hit a scissor sweep but Shibata is one step ahead there. #T1# Shibata is working Urie over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes. #SUB2# Urie escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Shibata gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Shibata has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Shibata slips nicely into half guard. Nice strikes from Shibata there. #T2# Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Shibata seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense. Urie scrambles, trying to get to his feet, but Shibata manages to mount him!
Shibata takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Urie reaches up to try and control the position but Shibata seems to have an arm triangle now! Uh oh! Urie rolls and tries to escape and now Shibata has his back!

#T3# I really don't envy Urie right now.
Shibata biding his time, looking for the opening.
Shibata misses with a punch to the head. #SUB# Shibata tightening his grip on Urie, looking for the choke. Urie trying to control the hands but Shibata won't let him. #T4# Shibata wants to control but Urie is keeping busy. Urie really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Shibata. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Can Urie hold on?! Shibata is landing more strikes to his hapless foe.
#SUB# Shibata looking for the choke but no joy. Shibata lands punches and elbows. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Katsuyori Shibata dominated that round. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!#R2# Shibata tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Urie with the counter takedown but Shibata avoids it easily. Shibata throws a head kick but Urie moves out of range.
Shibata gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily #CL2# and Urie moves into the clinch. The fighters are pressed against the cage, as the pace of the fight slows. #TD2# Urie manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back. #SU# Shibata stands up from guard. Let's bang! We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. No luck for Urie with that takedown attempt. Shibata shoots and misses and Urie counters with a left to the body. Shibata slaps away a takedown attempt from Urie, before circling back to the center of the mat.#T1# Shibata tries to score a power double leg takedown but Urie sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Shibata somewhat. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Katsuyori Shibata. That's going to take a lot out of him.#TD2# Urie bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Shibata struggling a bit here. Shibata is looking to regain half guard here but Urie keeps moving and retains side control. #T2# Shibata is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Urie off and has taken his back! Urie looking very determined here, making life difficult for Shibata.
#SUB# Shibata looking for the choke but no joy. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Urie tries to break free.
#SUB# Shibata has his arm under Urie's chin here. Game over son! Shibata squeezes tightly and Urie is forced to tap out!
