No luck for Calvin with that takedown attempt.
Hicks drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Calvin defends it well.
Calvin shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Hicks as he jumps to the side.
A little jabbing left from Hicks on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.
Hicks dives in for a single leg takedown but Calvin sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.

Scott Calvin has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Alberto Hicks.
Calvin is trying hard to land a takedown here. Hicks sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Calvin tries to score a power double leg takedown but Hicks sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Calvin somewhat.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Calvin looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Hicks with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Calvin seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Hicks does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Calvin connects with a nice short shot to Hicks's temple.

Hicks closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Vader quickly recovers to half guard.
Hicks looks to land a strike but Vader avoids it nicely and regains full guard.

Hicks has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
Hicks is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.
Vader told us pre-fight that he has been working on his escapes in training. Let's see if he can call on some of his new skills to get back to his feet.

He's trying desperately to grab hold of Vader around the waist but Vader pushes him off and unloads with more strikes, forcing the referee to jump in and save him! Vader is the winner by TKO! Vader jumps onto the cage and shouts into the camera. "We did it momma!"

A momentary lapse in concentration from Kingston enables Hicks to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Kingston manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
Kingston bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Hicks's guard. #REVR#
