#R1# Gilmore swings and misses with a hook to the body.
A shot to the body from Gilmore misses and Verse counters with a three punch combo that has Gilmore backing up. Gilmore nods at Verse to acknowledge the strikes. We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Gilmore has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat. Verse throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.
Gilmore misses with a looping right. Verse was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger. Verse sizes up Gilmore with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle. Gilmore misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Verse.
Verse throws a leg kick but Gilmore checks it. #TD2# A momentary lapse in concentration from Verse enables Gilmore to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Verse manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat. Verse has scooted to the edge of the canvas and used the cage to get back to his feet. Gilmore has stuck on his opponent and is forcing him back against the cage. Verse is breathing heavily. This has been an exciting period of action! Gilmore has Verse pressed against the cage, preventing Verse from circling away and getting back to striking at range. Verse looks to throw an elbow but misses. Verse is trying to push Gilmore away but Gilmore has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere. Verse gets underhooks to prevent Gilmore's takedown attempt.

Gilmore slips a nice elbow through Verse's hands, connecting with Verse's forehead.#ROC2#Verse is rocked! Ground and pound from Gilmore. Oh Verse is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!! The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Gilmore is sitting in half guard. He's postured up and lands a nice elbow. Oh, Verse is hurt! He's hurt bad - Gilmore fires away with more strikes and the referee jumps in to save Verse from any more punishment! Congratulations to Gilmore! Great finish!

#R1# Gilmore looks to land a left hand but Michaud moved out of range nicely. Gilmore drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles. A jab from Michaud does it's job there.#CUT#It looks like Happy Gilmore has been cut. Michaud with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Michaud lands a nice leg kick that just misses Gilmore's sensitive parts. Ooooh, nice body kick lands from Michaud. Gilmore shrugs it off though. Michaud throws the kick towards the body but Gilmore avoids it. Gilmore appears to be waiting to throw a counter punch to the body. Michaud getting the better of the striking in that exchange. Gilmore rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
#KD# and Michaud counters with a crisp one two that drops Gilmore! Michaud thinks about following him to the mat for a moment but instead steps back and waves Gilmore to his feet! Gilmore is in big trouble!#ROC#Gilmore is rocked! Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Gilmore has a nice red mark on his side after a thudding body kick by Michaud. Gilmore is still on wobbly legs! Can Michaud finish him? Michaud throws a nice inside leg kick. Michaud wobbles Gilmore with a right hand and the left hook that follows puts him on his rear! Michaud dives in with a huge flying punch that connects right on the button and puts Gilmore to sleep! - What a violent and spectacular finish!

He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Heath pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Gilmore tumbling to the mat - Heath dives into Gilmore's guard. Gilmore striking off his back but it's not causing Heath any problems. Gilmore being controlled here, momentarily. #SUB# Gilmore has an active guard here but Heath has managed to pass into half guard.

#R1# Jones shoots in for a takedown but Gilmore shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Happy Gilmore seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Gilmore slaps away a takedown attempt from Jones, before circling back to the center of the mat. Jones will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. A little feinted left hand from Gilmore on the counter but he doesn't commit to it. Happy Gilmore has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Benson Jones. A combination from Jones does no damage. Gilmore lunges at Jones with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Jones's hand. Jones shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Gilmore counters with a straight right hand. Gilmore definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight. A combination from Jones does no damage. Gilmore scores with a nice head shot. Jones throws the left hand but Gilmore avoids the punch easily.#KD# Gilmore cracks Jones with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Jones tries to grapple but his opponent circles and Gilmore counters with a big left hand that crumples Jones! He was out before he hit the floor! Brutal knockout!
