A telegraphed right hand from Tyler misses the target. #TD# Ruiz bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Tyler tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Ruiz wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. Ruiz throwing ground and pound but whilst doing so, he forgets to control position and Tyler works his way back to half guard. Good composure under pressure. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Ruiz wants to lay and pray for a moment but Tyler keeps working. Ruiz uses his free foot to push down on Tyler's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Tyler. Ruiz throwing sloppy strikes, which aren't doing any damage. Ruiz lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.

That was a close second round but I would say that Kody Ruiz will probably get the nod. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare each other down, ready to get back to the action. So, we enter the final round.
