In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Odogwu working his ground and pound in the gym. He isn't landing a great percentage of his ground strikes so far though.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.#SUB#

Vargas pounces, throwing wild strikes as both fighters end up on the ground! Odogwu tries desperately to hold on but Vargas is relentless in his assault! As Odogwu receives an ever increasing number of unanswered strikes the referee pulls Vargas away and this one is in the books!

Dean cracks Vargas with a nasty uppercut that draws ooohs from the crowd and sends Vargas tumbling backwards onto the mat. He tries to recover but Dean pounces and lands a hail of unanswered strikes that forces the referee to step in to end the fight! Vargas is not happy but he gave the referee no choice!
