#R1##TD2# Gomes gets caught flat footed, as Zelecki shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. Zelecki not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. Gomes is looking to stand up but Zelecki isn't so interested in that idea. Zelecki trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Gomes is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Zelecki is controlling him. Zelecki throwing strikes but missing. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Zelecki's corner is telling him to maintain position. Zelecki stands and throws Gomes's legs to the side, diving into side control. #T1##SU2# Zelecki stands up and beckons Gomes to his feet. Gomes throws a combination that misses #TD2# and Zelecki counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. Gomes scrambles, trying to get to his feet, but Zelecki manages to mount him!
Zelecki scoring with strikes but Gomes is staying in there. Zelecki lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Gomes hang on? Zelecki breaks from Gomes's wrist control and lands an elbow. Zelecki takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.#T2##SUB2# Zelecki is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Gomes to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Gomes shrugs it off. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Zelecki content just to control the position here. Zelecki has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Zelecki misses with a head shot. Zelecki landing strikes, looking to finish! You get the feeling that Gomes really doesn't like being in this position too much.

Zelecki tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. Zelecki lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.
Gomes wants to try and get back to his feet. Zelecki controlling from the full mount. #T4# Zelecki landing shots from mount. Zelecki controlling from mount. Zelecki working away from the top, dropping strikes. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Gomes really wants to buck Zelecki off and get back to his feet. Zelecki controlling from the full mount. Gomes is trying to stand up.#SUB2# Zelecki has hold of Gomes's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Gomes manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
Zelecki tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Zelecki thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Gomes's head. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Zelecki slips a nice elbow through Gomes's hands, connecting with Gomes's forehead.#T2# A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Zelecki trying to mount his opponent but Gomes defends it. Gomes is looking to get back to is feet but Zelecki passes into side control.
Zelecki prevents Gomes from escaping the position. Zelecki slows the pace down. Gomes prevents Zelecki from improving position. #ES# Gomes throws his opponent off and manages to get back to his feet! Nicely done! Gomes misses with a double jab
#CL2# and Zelecki counters by clinching up. #T3# Gomes is trying to pull guard but Zelecki turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch. The fighters are pressed against the cage, as the pace of the fight slows. Zelecki tries to pull guard but Gomes holds him up against the cage and eventually Zelecki drops back down to his feet.
Gomes tries to break the clinch but Zelecki is controlling the position. #TD2# Zelecki jumps guard and drags Gomes to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back. Gomes preventing the sweep. Zelecki looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it. #T4# Gomes stops Zelecki from standing up. #SUB2# Zelecki is working for submissions here. He's thrown up his legs looking for a triangle but Gomes frees his head nicely. Oh but Zelecki has switched to an armbar! Gomes is tapping furiously! Lovely submission there!
