Brooks is controlling De Gindra's posture. De Gindra is in close to Brooks's body, working some short punches and elbows. De Gindra definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight. De Gindra trying to control the position from guard on top but Brooks is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Brooks is pulling down on De Gindra's head to control his posture. #SUB2# Brooks is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. De Gindra trying to control the position from guard on top but Brooks is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. De Gindra on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if De Gindra tries to get out of the position. Brooks is thwarting De Gindra's attempts to control the position. De Gindra is trying to get back to full guard. Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Brooks in particular looking to stall. De Gindra trying to control from the bottom.

The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet. Brooks is trying to control the action in half guard but De Gindra is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. #REF3# The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. Brooks shoots for a takedown but De Gindra saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. De Gindra closes the distance and clinches up with Brooks, looking for a takedown. De Gindra pushes Brooks against the cage but Brooks circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Brooks shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has De Gindra pinned against the cage. De Gindra gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. De Gindra shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Brooks as he jumps to the side. #T4# De Gindra shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Brooks counters with a three punch combo that has De Gindra backing up. De Gindra nods at Brooks to acknowledge the strikes. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Arnaud De Gindra. That's going to take a lot out of him. Brooks dives in for a single leg takedown but De Gindra sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage. Jarred Brooks seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. De Gindra looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Brooks is fending him off so far but De Gindra persists. Nope, Brooks circles away and we're back to standing. Brooks tries for a takedown but De Gindra circles away easily#TD# and De Gindra counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. Brooks looks winded! The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Brooks is not content to let De Gindra control the position. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. De Gindra prevents Brooks from standing back up.

De Gindra tries to pass to full mount but Doe defends it. De Gindra is nestled in close to Doe, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure. #R1# De Gindra takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from De Gindra. Mcfarland darts in trying to clinch#TD# and De Gindra counters with a nice double leg into half guard. #SUB# De Gindra seems like he's working for an arm triangle here. He's freed his trapped foot and he's rotating nicely. Mcfarland is in big trouble! He's tapping out! This one is aaaaaaaaaaaall over!

#R1##TD2# De Gindra closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. Enqvist scrambles, trying to get to his feet, but De Gindra manages to mount him!
