We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.#SUB2# Dresden had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Joe defends it easily. Joe is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. Joe's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Joe's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not. Bishop is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Joe pulls him back up using the underhooks. Bishop goes for a takedown attempt but Joe pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Aloha Joe has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Korbin Bishop. Joe misses with an uppercut. Bishop saw that one coming.
