We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.#TD# Ryder decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Ryder content to sit in half guard and control for a moment. Rei trying to control but Ryder postures up.
#T1# Ryder controlling the pace. #SU# Ryder escapes and gets back to his feet. Rei defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Ryder.#CL# Ryder closes the distance and clinches. Rei is trying to maintain a safe position but Ryder gets an underhook and turns Rei into the cage. Kneeeeees! The crowd are calling for knees to the body. Rei obliges. Ryder misses with a hook to the ribs.

With the two fighters working up against the cage, Rei just misses with a elbow thrown towards Ryder's brow. Ryder managing to block the knees to the body from Rei.

Rei wants to stand back up but Ryder manages to pass into side control.
Rei really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Ryder. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.#SUB# Ryder has hold of Rei's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Rei tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Ryder cranks the arm and Rei screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Rei, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.
