#R1# Mertel with a hook. A swing and a miss from Nickoson. Mertel uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Nickoson. It looked like Mertel wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit. Nickoson looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Mertel slips a jab and a cross from Nickoson.
A left lands for Mertel. Nickoson rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Mertel counters with a straight right hand. Mertel throws a head kick but Nickoson moves out of range.
Mertel really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Nickoson throws a right hand that Mertel ducks under and follows up with a left that Mertel also avoids with ease. A swing and a miss from Nickoson. Mertel misses with a straight right. Nickoson takes a shot right to the bread basket. Nickoson moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Mertel misses with an uppercut. Nickoson saw that one coming. Mertel lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
#ROC#Nickoson is rocked! Nickoson throws a right hand that Mertel ducks under and follows up with a left that Mertel also avoids with ease. Nickoson is still on wobbly legs! Can Mertel finish him? Nickoson misses with a right hand and Mertel counters with a beautiful right hand that knocks Nickoson out cold! What a finish! Mertel is going crazy, running around the mat, summersaulting off the corner posts and screaming into the cameras. Something tells me he's pretty happy!

#R1# Bafote fails in his attempt to clinch. Nickoson lands a jab-cross combination. Bafote uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Nickoson. Bafote is looking to take this fight into the clinch.#CL2# Bafote takes the fight into the clinch. Nickoson wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee. Bafote lands an elbow that stopped Nickoson in his tracks for a moment. #CUT2#It looks like Dangelo Nickoson has been cut. Nickoson is trying to force a seperation but Bafote has the dominant position. Bafote cracks Nickoson with a nice body shot. Nickoson wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Bafote has him pressed against the cage. Bafote working Nickoson over with knees to the body. Nickoson is breathing heavily. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Nickoson takes an elbow to the forehead. Knees in the clinch landing for Bafote.
Bafote lands a nice elbow from the clinch. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Bafote lands a big knee! That's hurt Nickoson! Oh, he's all over the place! Bafote lands another knee that sends Nickoson to the floor and the referee steps in to end the fight!
