Souza tries to move into full mount but can't pass Parker's legs.
Parker is looking to reverse the position.
Parker can't do much from the bottom here.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Souza has knee on belly and moves into mount.
Parker can't escape the position.

Parker wants to hold on but Souza pushes him away.

In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Souza working his ground and pound in the gym. So far it seems to be working well.#SUB2#
Souza throws some shoulder strikes here and then postures up. Oh, he's gone for an armbar! Parker has his hands clasped together but Souza breaks the hold and Parker is forced to tap! This one is aaaaaaaaaaall over! That was lightning fast by Souza!

Souza shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it. #CUT#It looks like Duane Souza has been cut.
Kaarduu jabs. That one connects to the head of his opponent.

Kaarduu flashes Souza a smile before throwing a beast of a right hand, straight down the pipe. Souza's eyes follow the hand right onto his nose, taking in it's full glory... and then darkness. Souza crumples to the floor! He's out cold! Kaarduu punches the air and yells at the top of his lungs - yeeeeeeeeeeah!!!! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:09 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Azim Kaarduu!
A relieved looking Azim Kaarduu thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it. |

Flytrap has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.#SUB2#
Souza is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Flytrap trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.

Flytrap looking to sit in guard and control but Souza gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. #REVB#

Souza has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Flytrap to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Souza is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Flytrap pulls down on the head and he's put Souza to sleep! This one is all over!

Pearson has left one of his arms exposed and Dahmer doesn't need a second invitation. He's isolated it and locked on a tight armbar. Pearson screams and taps out, obviously in a lot of pain. Hopefully there isn't permanent damage to that arm.
