#R1##TD2# Macedo closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Yamato to the mat! Yamato manages to get full guard. Yamato looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this! Macedo forces his way into half guard.#SUB2# Macedo is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Yamato doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Macedo. Yamato definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight. Macedo passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Yamato! Macedo dominating with strikes here. Macedo sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. #T1# Macedo scores with a couple of good head shots there.
Macedo controlling his opponent. #SUB2# Macedo has control of Yamato's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Yamato regains control of the situation pretty easily.
Macedo controlling from the full mount. Macedo fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.#T2# Macedo unloading with bombs!#SUB2# Yamato has left one of his arms exposed and Macedo doesn't need a second invitation. He's isolated it and locked on a tight armbar. Yamato screams and taps out, obviously in a lot of pain. Hopefully there isn't permanent damage to that arm.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:35 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Claudio Macedo! |
