#R1# Taylor throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd. Smarty tries for a takedown but Taylor circles away easily and Taylor counters with a straight punch to the midsection. Smarty has his takedown stuffed letting Taylor counter with a right hand. Smarty with a poor takedown and Taylor counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Trae Taylor has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Shocka Smarty. Taylor defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Smarty. Smarty with a poor takedown and Taylor counters with a lovely shot to the body. Smarty doesn't succeed with the takedown and Taylor counters with a nice body shot. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Smarty fails with the takedown and Taylor counters with a straight right hand. He must have been working on that in the gym. Smarty takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.

Taylor comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range. Smarty is still on wobbly legs! Can Taylor finish him? Taylor is really peppering his opponent's head with punches. Taylor connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt. Taylor steps in with a hook that catches Smarty right on the chin and knocks him to the floor! Taylor follows him down with more strikes and that's all she wrote! Smarty looks absolutely devastated.

Deathcrush shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Taylor pinned against the cage. Taylor gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Taylor is looking for a counter combo. Deathcrush doesn't succeed with the takedown and Taylor counters with a stiff right hand. Taylor seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. Taylor throws the left hand but Shalva avoids the punch easily. Shalva is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Shalva fails miserably with a takedown attempt.#CL# Taylor fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Shalva, pushing him back against the cage. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Shalva lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Taylor backwards.
