#R1##TD2# Yergin darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. Yergin working Newton over with strikes. Yergin working the head and body with strikes. Newton really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Yergin trying to pass the guard but Newton defending well. Newton is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Yergin scores with a couple of nice shots. Yergin sitting and controlling from the half guard. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Newton definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.#T1# Yergin lands strikes from half guard. Yergin working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that. In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Yergin working his ground and pound in the gym. So far it seems to be working well. Yergin working over Newton with some ground and pound. Newton looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable. Yergin lands with a punch from half guard. The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring. Yergin scores with a couple of good hammerfists. Newton is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Yergin scores with a couple of nice shots. Yergin frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount. A nice elbow there by Yergin. The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Yergin cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

Walls takes a step backwards and waves Yergin back to his feet - he wants the finish!#CUT#It looks like Daniel Yergin has been cut. Walls slips under a jab from Yergin. Yergin sizes up Walls with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle. Walls throws a hook but Yergin avoids it easily. Walls looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Walls swings for the body but Yergin moves out of range.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Walls lands with a shot to the body. Walls lands with a thumping leg kick.

Yergin is clearly trying to counter these attacks from Walls with a body shot. Walls throws a 1-2 combo that connects squarely on Yergin's jaw, knocking him onto his back! Walls dives in looking to finish as Yergin flails his arms in a desperate attempt to block Walls's strikes! Walls is raining down hammerfists and the ref stops it! Yergin's desperate flailing just didn't constitute intelligent defence. Some people will probably question the ref's decision but Yergin was definitely hurt and the ref saved him from taking unnecessary punishment. A fighter's safety is paramount in this sport.

Travis makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut. Yergin is trying to pull guard but Travis has him pressed against the cage.#BC2# Travis breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Travis looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
Yergin looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight. Travis lands a head shot. Yergin ducks under a wild hook from Travis. Yergin could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Travis connects with a leg kick. Travis loads up on a big right hand but Yergin slips the punch. Yergin moves forwards but Travis connects with a nice, crisp jab. Travis connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head. Howie Travis seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Travis tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Yergin feinted with a counter takedown.#CL2# Travis gets a clinch. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Travis softening up his opponent with strikes, against the cage. Yergin jumps guard but Travis stands there with Yergin around his waist. Yergin gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Yergin throws a hook to the side of Aharon's head but Aharon sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Aharon feinted with a counter takedown.#KD# Aharon drops Yergin with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Yergin looks back up at him and smiles so Aharon waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.

We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. Yergin stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Danger swivels though and keeps the full guard. Danger tries to land a sweep but no joy. Yergin could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Danger not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

#R1##TD2# Yergin is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Sayerat's half guard. Sayerat knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Yergin on the ground. Sayerat is trying to stand up here but Yergin is controlling him well. Yergin should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete. Yergin passes to side control. #SUB2# Yergin has hold of Sayerat's arm. He's looking for a kimura. Sayerat seems comfortable defending it but Yergin has shifted his position slighty and is cranking on the arm! Sayerat is real pain and he's forced to tap out!
