Doctor is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Zeze to keep the fight standing.
Zeze throws a punch but it's blocked by Doctor.
Zeze doesn't land with the attempted body shot.
Zeze misses with the head strike.

Doctor working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Zeze doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Zeze manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. #SUB2#

Doctor is actively looking for submissions from his back. He's worked himself a little space on the bottom and seems to be going for a triangle. No, he's switched into an armbar! That was slick! Zeze rolls with it to try and escape but Doctor cranks on the arm and Zeze is forced to tap out! This one is aaaaaaaaall over!

Zeze seem to be loading up, looking for a big counter.
Zeze ducks under a wild hook from Benjamin.

Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.
Benjamin moves out of range of the strikes.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Benjamin rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Zeze counters with a right, left combo that wobbles Benjamin badly! Zeze follows up with a massive right hook, straight to the bridge of the nose that knocks Benjamin out cold! Oh wow, what a finish! Very reminiscent of Koscheck vs Yoshida as Zeze finished him against the cage.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:06 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Renato Zeze!
Renato Zeze tried to hype himself up post fight but didn't word it too well and it ended up with him sounding like a bit of a tool. |

Ruiz shoots in for a takedown but Zeze shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Zeze swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect.
Ruiz moves out of range of the strikes.

Zeze dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Ruiz walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
Zeze throws a hook but Ruiz blocks it.

enabling Zeze to counter with a crisp jab.
Ruiz defending well as Zeze loads up on a big left hand.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Zeze drops Ruiz with a straight left! Oh this is bad for Ruiz! Zeze dives in and starts dropping bombs - the referee has no choice but to step in and save him!

Pizarro is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Zeze is just riding it out for now. Pizarro eventually gives up the hold. #SUB2#
Pizarro is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Zeze defends it well. #T1#
