We've been hearing reports that Peterson has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight. Smash looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights. Peterson needs to keep his hands up - Smash had a free shot at his head there. Peterson steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Smash. Peterson throws a lazy head kick #TD2# and Smash counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. Smash prevents Peterson from improving his position. Still in half guard, Smash seems content to control. Smash lands strikes from half guard.#SUB# Peterson looking for subs from the bottom but Smash mounts him! Smash lands a big shot there that rocks Peterson but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Smash with a couple of short strikes.#T1# Smash raining down shots from the mount! The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Peterson wants to hold on but Smash pushes him away. Smash looking to ground and pound his opponent to a finish here.

#R1# Stoyanov shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Peterson as he avoids it easily. Peterson with a nice calf kick. Peterson throws a wild body kick that Stoyanov sees coming a mile off. Stoyanov is looking to clinch but Peterson is avoiding it.

Peterson connects with a solid leg kick. #TD2# Peterson closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Stoyanov's guard. Peterson trying to control the position from guard on top but Stoyanov is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Peterson controls from within his opponent's guard. Stoyanov not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Peterson throwing strikes but missing. Stoyanov throwing strikes off his back to little effect.
