He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling West to score with a decent uppercut.#TD2# Sutherland drives through with a takedown into West's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position. West preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. West controls Sutherland momentarily but Sutherland frees himself. West is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. Sutherland closes the distance and clinches up with Islay, looking for a takedown. Sutherland pushes Islay against the cage but Islay circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Sutherland shoots in and drives through. Islay sprawls well. It looked like Islay was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from Sutherland. Sutherland avoids the body shot from Islay.
Sutherland doesn't succeed with the takedown and Islay counters with a right hand to the body. Ardbeg Islay has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Louis Sutherland. Islay displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Sutherland. No luck with that takedown attempt from Sutherland. Islay scores with a nice strike. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Sutherland moves out of range as Islay strikes. Sutherland tries to score a power double leg takedown but Islay sees that one coming and sprawls well. The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Sutherland connects with a nice short shot to Gracie's temple. Sutherland winds up and cracks Gracie with a swinging punch to the side of the head. Sutherland lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt. Sutherland looks to score some points with some ground and pound. Gracie taking some punishment here, with Sutherland in his half guard. Sutherland passes to full mount! Gracie is in a horrible position here. Sutherland smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.
