Espinosa wants to clinch but Verse slips to the side and Verse counters with a straight punch to the midsection. Verse clobbers Espinosa with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise. Espinosa throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Verse counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Verse throws a body kick that misses. Espinosa throws a head kick that misses and Verse counters with a stiff right hand. Verse moves out of range of the body kick from Espinosa.
Verse is looking to counter punch. Verse displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Espinosa. Christopher Espinosa seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Espinosa fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Verse swings and misses with a hook to the body.

And that's the end of the fight! Roland Verse showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Verse, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

#R1##TD# Espinosa looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Claks! Claks is looking to regain half guard here but Espinosa keeps moving and retains side control. Claks is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.#SUB# Espinosa is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Claks doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Espinosa. Espinosa trying to mount his opponent but Claks defends it. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Espinosa wants to stand up but Claks has a hold of him and won't allow it. #T1# Claks keeping hold of Espinosa's head, controlling as best he can. Espinosa stalling away here and it's allowed Claks to slip out his trapped foot and regain full guard. #SUB2# Claks is working for submissions here. He's thrown up his legs looking for a triangle but Espinosa frees his head nicely. Oh but Claks has switched to an armbar! Espinosa is tapping furiously! Lovely submission there!
