Jones Ii can't keep his opponent in guard - Gordon advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount. Gordon missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. Jones Ii wants to improve his position but Gordon is controlling well.

That was a close round but I would say that Aarav Gordon will probably get the nod. #R1##TD2# Jones Ii manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Log on his heels. He'll look to pass Log's guard now, I'm sure. Log is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Jones Ii dives into side control.
#REVR##SUB2# Jones Ii is trying to get an arm triangle but Log is defending well. Jones Ii grinds an elbow into Log's temple. Jones Ii controls the position from side control. Jones Ii trying to control the position but Log is working away. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Jones Ii tries to land with some ground and pound but misses. A lull in the action here.#T1##SUB2# Jones Ii has hold of Log's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Log tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Jones Ii cranks the arm and Log screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Log, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.

#R1# Johnson scores with a decent looking hook. Jones Ii darts in looking for a takedown but Johnson gets double underhooks and turns Jones Ii into the cage. Jones Ii takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt. Johnson throws the left hand but Jones Ii avoids the punch easily. Jones Ii will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.#TD2# Jones Ii shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Johnson's guard. Johnson really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Johnson seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now. Jones Ii makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.#SUB2# Jones Ii drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Jones Ii jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Jones Ii working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
