Lee tries for a takedown but Mertel Ll circles away easily
and Mertel Ll counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.

Lee looking to score a takedown here. Mertel Ll is defending well but Lee drives through and ends up in Mertel Ll's guard.

Mertel Ll is trying to control the position but Lee postures up.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Lee won't allow Mertel Ll to sweep him here.
Mertel Ll really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Lee. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Lee keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Mertel Ll's head.#SUB#
Lee drops back looking for a submission - "I'm sorry sir, but I'm gunna break your leg" says Lee as he cranks on the unfortunate limb! Mertel Ll screams and taps out before any major damage is done! Don't mess with Lee! Nice submission victory there!
