Smarty goes for a double leg but Tlaloc avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Tlaloc continues to drive forward.#TD2# Smarty bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Ripley tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Smarty was well out of range. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. #R1# Taylor throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd. Smarty tries for a takedown but Taylor circles away easily and Taylor counters with a straight punch to the midsection. Smarty has his takedown stuffed letting Taylor counter with a right hand. Smarty with a poor takedown and Taylor counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Trae Taylor has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Shocka Smarty. Taylor defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Smarty. Smarty with a poor takedown and Taylor counters with a lovely shot to the body. Smarty doesn't succeed with the takedown and Taylor counters with a nice body shot. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Smarty fails with the takedown and Taylor counters with a straight right hand. Taylor follows him down with more strikes and that's all she wrote! Smarty looks absolutely devastated.
