#R1# Mate throws a left and a right that both miss
#TD2# and Rivera counters with a nice double leg into side control. Mate won't be happy with that. Mate bucks up and tries to throw Rivera off but instead Rivera has got his back! Mate looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this! Rivera is hanging on to Mate's back as he tries to escape.
Mate is trying to get back to his feet but he's not managed it yet. Rivera has good solid back control here. It looks like Rivera might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.#T1# Mate is defending well here and trying to improve his position.
#T2# My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Mate is trying to stand back up. Rivera just keeping the dominant position. He can't wait too long though, otherwise the referee will stand them back up.

He must have been on the weights. Mate looks to move to half guard but instead Rivera has passed into mount! Damn! Rivera controlling from mount. Rivera takes Mate's back. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Rivera is controlling his opponent, waiting for an opportunity to finish. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.#T1# Rivera's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige. Rivera has been the more effective fighter overall so far.#T2# The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Kyler Rivera showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!#R3# Rivera moves out of range of the leg kick from Mate. Rivera is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here. Mate throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
#CL# Mate instigates a clinch. Rivera drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Mate gets the underhooks and prevents it.
#TD2# Rivera turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Rivera manages to end up in side control. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Rivera slips into full mount, dodging the strikes by Mate. Rivera controlling the position easily from mount. Both fighters are breathing heavily.#T1# Let's hope that Rivera has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight. Mate wants to improve position but instead he's given up his back. Mate tries to break free.

#R1##KD2# Gayman lands a big head kick that sends Mate tumbling to the mat! Gayman takes a step backwards and waves Mate back to his feet - he wants the finish!#ROC2#Mate is rocked!#CUT2#It looks like Lester John Mate has been cut. Mate looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this! Mate takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh. Oh Mate is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Mate stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Gayman.#CL2# Gayman closes the distance and clinches. Gayman is leaning against Mate and scores with a nice uppercut to the body. This has been an exciting period of action!#BC2# Gayman breaks from the clinch.
Gayman seems to be stalking Mate here. He circles momentarily and then unleashes a devastating head kick! Mate drops like a stone, out cold! WOW! Are you kidding me!? What a knockout!

#R1##CL2# Mate takes the fight into the clinch. Mate looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight! Frost tries for a takedown but Mate manages to get underhooks.

That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Abram Frost. That's going to take a lot out of him. Frost just leaning against Mate, taking a breather. Mate fails to pull guard.

Mate gets underhooks to prevent Frost's takedown attempt.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Mate is trying to push Frost away but Frost has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere. Frost drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.

Mate tries to throw a body punch but Frost avoids it by throwing Mate back against the cage. Frost has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Mate after a bit of a struggle. #T2# Frost misses with a shot to the kidneys.

Frost is pushing down on Mate's leg trying to pass to half guard. Mate is fighting to maintain full guard but Frost has managed to sneak the leg through. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Frost keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action. The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Frost lands a nice short elbow. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word. Frost has Mate pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Mate manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Frost trying to land knees to the body.

Mate is breathing heavily.#TD# Frost has picked Mate up - he's going for a ride! Frost dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard. Frost sitting and controlling from the half guard. #T1# Frost has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount. Frost sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. Frost has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent. Frost punishing his opponent with strikes. #T2# Frost is landing with some decent strikes but Mate is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue. Frost pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Mate can do anything to dispel that myth. Frost punishing his opponent with strikes. Frost is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Mate can do to turn this around? Frost connects with a couple of good shots from mount.

#R1##CL2# Mate rushes Chapman and presses him up against the cage. Chapman goes for a takedown attempt but Mate pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Mate throws out a token jab with nothing on it. Chapman seem to be loading up, looking for a big counter.#CL2# Mate moves into the clinch. Mate prevents Chapman from breaking the clinch. Knees to the body from Mate.
Mate dictating the pace here, as the fighters clinch against the cage.#TD# Chapman gets control of Mate's arms and successfully pulls guard. Chapman will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.#SUB# Chapman has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think Mate should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, Chapman has tightened it up now! Mate should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!

Mate has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Mcintyre seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now. #SUB2# Mcintyre has thrown up a leg looking for a triangle. Mate doesn't defend quickly enough and Mcintyre has managed to lock this one up! Can Mate escape?! NO! He's tapping out! Damn, that was a quick submission - congrats to Mcintyre on a fantastic submission victory.
