Soda throws a big shot that misses.
Donk. Vasquez catches Soda right on the button with a cross.
Soda misses with a body shot.
Soda fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Vasquez manages to avoid it.

and Soda counters with a takedown into side control.
Soda lands an elbow.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Vasquez is working to avoid the ground and pound but Soda connects with a decent elbow.
Vasquez is looking for a sweep.
Vasquez gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.
Soda knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Vasquez on the ground.

Soda creates some space for himself and unloads with a monster right hand! That one landed with a sickening thud - Vasquez is out cold and this one is all over! Soda climbs onto the ropes to celebrate with his corner!! He's shouting something into the camera but he's still got his mouthpiece in so God knows what he's actually saying.

Jones drives through and clinches with Soda against the ropes.

Soda is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the ropes.
Soda wants to break the clinch but can't.
Soda is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Jones pulls him back up using the underhooks.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Takeshi Soda. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Jones has Soda pressed up against the ropes in a tight Thai clinch. Soda is arching his back, trying to avoid the knees but a big one sneaks through from Jones - that's hurt Soda badly! Oh, another knee lands and Soda is covering up! The referee steps in to save him - possibly a bit early but Soda doesn't seem to be complaining.
