Stephens swats away the attempt to clinch by Verse. Sloppy strikes from Verse. Those never looked like landing. Verse works over Stephens's head and body with a nice combination.#CL2# Verse rushes Stephens and presses him up against the cage. Stephens jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Verse walks away with a smile on his face. Stephens gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. Verse fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.#CL2# Verse instigates a clinch. Verse is working Stephens over against the cage. Verse leaning his opponent against the cage. Verse works on Stephens's body with a couple of short punches.#T1##BC2# Verse manages to break the clinch.
Stephens looks to land a left hand but Verse moved out of range nicely. Some wild striking there from Verse.
Verse connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Stephens's hands.#CL2# Verse closes the distance and pushes Stephens back into the cage. A quick uppercut on the inside from Verse. #BC2# Verse breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Stephens dodges the punch combination from Verse.
Stephens misses with a hook. Verse unleashes a big counter combination but Stephens bobs and weaves and avoids any damage. Stephens avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

Kingston throws a series of punches but Stephens moves out of range. Kingston lands with a shot to the body. Stephens throws a looping overhand right but Kingston ducks down to avoid it. And an attempted straight right on the counter from Kingston! But no joy. Stephens is trying hard to land a takedown here. Kingston sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Stephens changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Kingston tries to avoid it but Stephens manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Kingston to the ground. Kingston escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Kingston jabs. That one connects to the head of his opponent.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Stephens throws out a token jab with nothing on it. Stephens definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight. Stephens looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Kingston is fending him off so far but Stephens persists. Nope, Kingston circles away and we're back to standing. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Kaden Stephens. That's going to take a lot out of him. Kingston throws a lazy uppercut

Saint John stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush. Saint John tries to bum rush Stephens with a series of wild strikes but Stephens uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Stephens appears to be looking for a counter takedown. Stephens ducks right into an uppercut from Saint John. Stephens has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Stephens there as he acknowledges the shot. Saint John misses with a body shot.
