#R1# Alexander throws a good cross that connects.
Nice takedown defense from Alexander. No joy for O Dave on that attempt. O Dave gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Alexander connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Alexander uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before O Dave has time to react. O Dave dives in for a single leg takedown but Alexander sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage. Phoenix Alexander has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ryan O Dave. Alexander connects with a looping right hand.
#CUT#It looks like Ryan O Dave has been cut. Alexander's corner calls for a 1-2. Alexander obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range. #ROC#O Dave is rocked! O Dave shoots in looking for a takedown. Alexander tries to sprawl out of it but O Dave keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Alexander manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Alexander swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect. O Dave on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.#T1# O Dave misses with a takedown attempt #KD# and Alexander counters with a nice right hand that sends O Dave toppling to the canvas! O Dave scrambles and gets back to his feet - can Alexander finish him?! O Dave is still on wobbly legs! Can Alexander finish him? Alexander cracks O Dave with a right hand to the side of the head. O Dave shoots in for a double leg but Alexander sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Alexander blocks a jab. O Dave seems to have recovered his senses. Alexander lands the left hand.#TD2# O Dave decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Ground and pound from O Dave. O Dave scoring with strikes to the body and head. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. O Dave is controlling the pace.
#T2# O Dave is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Alexander! O Dave thuds his fist into the canvas! Oooouch!

Alexander is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. Alexander on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Alexander tries to get out of the position. Alexander trying desperately to get to his feet.
#T3# O Dave landing strikes, looking to finish! O Dave controlling the position easily from mount. O Dave is landing with some decent strikes but Alexander is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.#SUB2# O Dave jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Alexander manages to avoid the submission attempt. #SUB2# O Dave wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Alexander, who protects the arm well. O Dave tries to score with some ground and pound. Alexander controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage. #T4# O Dave scores with a couple of short elbows. O Dave has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. The referee asks O Dave politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. O Dave prefers to stall for the moment though. Alexander dodges the ground and pound from O Dave. Alexander is being controlled here. #SU2# O Dave decides to stand back up. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. O Dave shoots and misses letting Alexander counter with a right hand. Alexander scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction. O Dave shoots in but doesn't get the takedown letting Alexander counter with a right hand. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Phoenix Alexander dominated that round. The cut man is working on Ryan O Dave's cut. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!#R2# Alexander lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected. Alexander lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head. O Dave fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Alexander throws a big counter combination but O Dave scrambles out of danger and avoids any damage. O Dave fails with the takedown and Alexander counters with a lovely straight right hand! Alexander scores with a hook. O Dave looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Alexander is fending him off so far but O Dave persists. Nope, Alexander circles away and we're back to standing. Alexander throwing a counter right hand but O Dave manages to avoid it. Phoenix Alexander has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ryan O Dave.#KD# Oooooh!!! Alexander has knocked O Dave down with a huge combo! Alexander steps away and waves a wobbly O Dave back to his feet! This one might not go much longer! The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Alexander connects with a jab and follows up with a big overhand right! Oh that's hurt O Dave! He's out on his feet! Alexander rushes in and drops O Dave with another big right hand, forcing the referee to stop the fight!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:49 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Phoenix Alexander! Phoenix Alexander tried to hype himself up post fight but didn't word it too well and it ended up with him sounding like a bit of a tool. |

#R1# Waters moves in looking to clinch but O Dave pushes him off. Waters is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Dwight Waters seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Waters lands with a good body shot.#TD2# Excellent takedown into side control there by O Dave. O Dave working the ground and pound but he's contacting the mat, not the fighter. #SUB2# O Dave is trying to get an arm triangle but Waters is defending well. O Dave landing with strikes to the head and body from side control. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.#SUB2# O Dave is working for what looks like an arm triangle here. Waters is trying to escape and O Dave transitions quickly into an armbar! He's slapped it on tight and Waters is forced to tap! Nice work there by O Dave! Very nice indeed!

Ryan O Dave decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way. |

Ayala shoots in for a takedown but O Dave shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.#TD# O Dave closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Ayala to the mat! Ayala manages to get full guard. Ayala is controlling O Dave's posture. Ayala keeping full guard, as O Dave tries to pass. O Dave makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard. O Dave throwing strikes from guard but Ayala blocks nicely. Ayala seems keen to control O Dave's posture. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. O Dave won't allow Ayala to sweep him here. O Dave has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Ayala is stalling in the full guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. #TD# O Dave gets a takedown into half guard. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. O Dave throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Ayala works his way to full guard. Good work. Ayala has control of O Dave's left arm, preventing O Dave from doing any damage. O Dave postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.#T4# Ayala has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall. He'll be looking to tighten that up but O Dave can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. #SUB2# O Dave is sitting in close to Ayala's body. Ayala has gone for a guillotine from the bottom. Oh damn, that looks pretty tight! O Dave is panicking - it looks like this one could be all over! Yes, O Dave is tapping! That was a very nice submission by Ayala.
