Simpson's coach down at Tran MMA Gym was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Simpson's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.#TD#

Simpson reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Simpson taps out! Nice BJJ there by Kormier!

Manduano throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Manduano throws a head kick that misses.
Manduano slips a jab and a cross from Simpson.
Manduano throws a right and a left that Simpson avoids nicely.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Manduano scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Simpson shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Manduano pinned against the cage. Manduano gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. #T1#

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
