#R1# Matthews moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination. Jones fails with the takedown and Matthews counters with a nice body shot. Jones changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Matthews tries to avoid it but Jones manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Matthews to the ground. Matthews escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Jones with a poor takedown and Matthews counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt. Auston Matthews has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Hamburger Jones. Matthews throws a shot from downtown. Jones moves away and avoids it. Jones fails with the takedown and Matthews counters with a straight right hand.#CL# Matthews rushes Jones and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. Jones goes for a takedown in the clinch but Matthews prevents it.
#BC# Matthews breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Jones closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so. #R1# We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight. Matthews scores with a leg kick.
Matthews misses with a looping right. Matthews throws a looping overhand right but Mohabal ducks down to avoid it. Mohabal appears to be waiting to throw a counter punch to the body. Mohabal dodges the punch combination from Matthews.
Mohabal is clearly trying to counter these attacks from Matthews with a body shot. Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.#TD# Matthews fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Mohabal to the ground. Matthews is now in Mohabal's guard. Mohabal is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Matthews dives into side control.
