Rice taking a breather. The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Rice takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life. Rice lands an elbow inside that Rough shrugs off. Rice unloads a knee to the mid-section. Rough lets out a prehistoric sounding urrrrgh. Rough takes a knee to the side of the body. Rice lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

That was a close round but I would say that Edward Rice will probably get the nod. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Rice looks like he's developed a pretty tasty lump over his left eye. He'll need to avoid taking much more damage to that. Rough throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Rice sees it coming and avoids it easily. Rice takes one on the chin but keeps coming.

and Rice counters with a body kick that brings a smile to the face of both fighters. Rough takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Rough gets cracked there but stands up to it.

And that's the end of the fight! I would just about give that final round to Gordon Rough. I think Rough has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

A telegraphed takedown attempt from Rice is defended easily by Quato. Quato was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger. Quato just misses with a punch to the body.
Quato jabbing away but nothing is landing. Rice throws out a counter right but Quato avoids it with no problem. Quato seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym. Quato Quato seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Rice needs to keep his hands up - Quato had a free shot at his head there. Rice ducks under a wild hook from Quato. Quato misses with an uppercut. Quato lands a nice shot to the body.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Quato lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.#ROC#Rice is rocked! Quato cracks Rice with a big right hand that sees him stumbling back against the cage! Rice falls to his knees and Quato doesn't need a second invitatation - he rushes in and fires off several unanswered shots that force the referee to stop the fight! This one is all over!

Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Bertino has managed to escape the submission attempt.

Bertino is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. Bertino is bucking up trying to escape but Rice cracks him with another couple of good strikes. The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Rice cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
Rice takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Rice landing strikes from the mount. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Rice cracks Bertino with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.

Edward Rice dominated that second round. That's time! Rice's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!#R3# Bertino has a nice red mark on his side after a thudding body kick by Rice. Bertino is still on wobbly legs! Can Rice finish him? Bertino bobbing and weaving nicely... He's ducked under a jab and ducks again but ooooooh! Rice comes at him with an uppercut from hell! Bertino falls to the canvas, unconscious! This one is all over! Oh man, looking at the replay that was right on the button! Bertino was out before he hit the floor!

#R1# Rice throws a body kick that misses #TD2# and Rose counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Rice! Rice is looking to reverse the position. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Rice is pushing Rose's head away, looking to escape. Rose manages to hold on to the position though. Rose tries to get to his feet but Rice is in the middle of advancing position himself and ends up with Rose in his guard. Rose stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Rice swivels though and keeps the full guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Rice is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.#SUB# Rice looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.

Rose tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked. #BC# Rice breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Edward Rice is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Rice throws a right and a left that both miss. Rice throws a head kick but Rose moves out of range.

Both fighters are breathing heavily.#SUB2# Rose has hold of Rice's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Rice manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
Rice is trying to stand up. Rose postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Rice looks a forlorn figure.

Rose has good solid back control here. Let's hope that Rose has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.#T4# Rice is trying to stand back up. #SUB2# Rose is staying calm and holding on to the back position, whilst working on a rear naked choke.
