Park is looking to counter punch. Som throws a lazy uppercut
and Park counters with a nice uppercut. Som throws a right hand that Park ducks under and follows up with a left that Park also avoids with ease. Nice defenses there by Som. Park keeps the fight on the outside. A swing and a miss from Park. A telegraphed right hand from Som misses the target. Park appears to be looking for a big counter. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! No luck for Park with that takedown attempt. #T1##CL2# Som drives through and clinches with Park against the cage.

Som swings wildly with an uppercut but Park uses good head movement to avoid it. Park is trying to pull guard but Som turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch. Park fails to pull the fight into his guard.

Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Som throws a head punch that misses. Som swings wildly with an uppercut but Park uses good head movement to avoid it. #TD# Park jumps guard and drags Som to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back. Som's corner is telling him to maintain position.#SUB# Park looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Som has picked Park up and slammed him! Park can't keep hold of the triangle and Som manages to pass to side control! Som in side control, trying to ground and pound but not landing this time. Park can't do much from the bottom here. Som sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Park is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Trouble Som dominated that round. The cut man is working on Elvis Park's cut. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.#R2# Som catches Park with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong! Park steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Som.#CL2# Som moves into the clinch. Som has been the more effective fighter overall so far.#TD# Park jumps guard.

Park manages to get one leg in to regain half guard. Park trying to hold on to Som's head to control him but Som postures up.
Park is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Park keeping control of the leg, stopping his opponent passing to mount. #T2# A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Som looks to score some points with some ground and pound.#SUB# Park looking for submissions off his back. Som is trying to control the action in half guard but Park is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. Park slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work. Park looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight. Som lands a nice hook to Park's body. Park takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes. Som throws a body shot but no joy. A little feinted left hand from Park on the counter but he doesn't commit to it. Som looks to land a combination but Park avoids it well. Park seem to be loading up, looking for a big counter. Som connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Park's hands. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Sloppy strikes from Som. Those never looked like landing. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Som fails with an attempt to clinch.

Trouble Som is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight. Park takes a shot to the head. This has been an exciting period of action! And that's the end of the fight! Trouble Som comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Som has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

and Som counters with a series of strikes. Nha will be more careful next time no doubt. Som throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Nha lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head. Nha fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Som manages to avoid it. Som unleashes a big counter combination but Nha bobs and weaves and avoids any damage. Som scores with a crisp jab that stopped Nha in his tracks. Nha swings and misses with a hook to the body.

Nha is looking to counter punch. Nha lands the left hand. Som throws a right hand that Nha ducks under and follows up with a left that Nha also avoids with ease. We've been told by Nha's head coaches at The Aquarium that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight. Som swinging wildly here.

Nha looks to score with a jab to the body but Som is just out of range. Som throws out a counter right but Nha avoids it with no problem. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Som is in big trouble!#ROC2#Som is rocked! Von Meyer measures up his opponent and throws a superman punch that connects to the jaw! Down goes Som! The ref steps in, and that's the ball game folks!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:26 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Superman Punch). Max Von Meyer! A relieved looking Max Von Meyer thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it. |

Knuckles lets Som back up to his feet, looking for a finish!#ROC#Som is rocked!#CUT#It looks like Trouble Som has been cut. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Knuckles drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles. Som is still on wobbly legs! Can Knuckles finish him? Som takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness. Knuckles throws a body shot but no joy. Som cracks Knuckles with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business. Knuckles throws an overhand right that has Som reeling! Knuckles follows up with more punches and Som is out cold! This one is all over!

Chuck Knuckles decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. Cooke tries to clinch up. Cooke shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Som as he jumps to the side. Som lands a head shot.#CUT2#It looks like Milton Cooke has been cut. Som keeps the fight on the outside. Cooke shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Som but Som pushes him off and we're back to square one. Cooke misses with a shot to the body and Som cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Cooke misses with a takedown attempt #CL2# and Som counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Som. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Milton Cooke. That's going to take a lot out of him. Som prevents Cooke from breaking the clinch. Cooke tries to break free but Som pushes him back against the cage. Som cracks Cooke with a nice body shot. Cooke is breathing heavily. Still in the clinch, Som scores with a nice short uppercut. Will he get it? Som is fending him off so far but Bright persists. Nope, Som circles away and we're back to standing. Som misses with a shot to the body and Bright counters with a left and a right that stings Som. Som takes a head kick and shrugs it off.
