#R1# Popicho lands an overhand right. Popicho throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Frevola stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly. Popicho lands a really nice looking cross but Frevola seems unphased.
Popicho lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Popicho. Popicho scores with a nice head shot. Popicho comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range. Pedri Popicho seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. A jab from Popicho does it's job there. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! A lazy left from Popicho finds it's target. Popicho lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected. Popicho digs a good hook to Frevola's body.
Frevola is pinned up against the ropes taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
#ROC2#Frevola is rocked! Frevola gets clipped by a big right hand and goes down spinning to the canvas! Popicho gets the back mount and begins to drop bombs on his rocked foe! Frevola is too out of it to defend against the strikes and the referee jumps in to save him from the beatdown!

#R1# Matsuda misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Frevola.
Frevola tries to counter by moving into the clinch but Matsuda manages to circle out of the way. Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Matsuda. Matsuda shoots and misses and Frevola counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Matsuda misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

Matsuda's coach down at Gym Goroshi London was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Matsuda's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Matsuda throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Matsuda shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Frevola defends it nicely. Frevola changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit.#T1# Matsuda waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Frevola. Matsuda with a poor takedown and Frevola counters with a stiff right hand. #ROC#Matsuda is rocked!#CUT#It looks like Osamu Matsuda has been cut. Matt Frevola has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Osamu Matsuda. Matsuda gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily #CL# and Frevola counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Frevola. Matsuda is still on wobbly legs! Can Frevola finish him? Frevola lands a hook that snaps the head of Matsuda backwards. #BC# Frevola breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. A head kick by Matsuda misses #TD# and Frevola shoots in for a double leg counter - driving through into a slam and Matsuda is out! The slam has knocked him out cold! Devastating for Matsuda but Frevola is celebrating as the crowd goes wild!

#R1##CL2# Frevola drives through and clinches with Palmer against the cage.
Palmer gets an overhook and lands an elbow to the side of the head. Frevola blocking some punches.
#BC2# Frevola pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.#CL2# Frevola has Palmer up against the cage in a clinch.
A nice glancing elbow lands by Palmer. Palmer lands an uppercut.#TD# Palmer manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back. Frevola loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Frevola looking to control the position here, rather than advance. Frevola's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.#T1# Frevola missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Frevola's corner is telling him to maintain position. More stalling from Frevola. Palmer is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. #REF3# The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. Frevola shoots in for a takedown but Palmer shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Palmer dives in and grabs Frevola's left leg, looking for a takedown. Frevola pushes down on Palmer's head and hops out.#T2# There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.#CL# Palmer clinches with his opponent.
Come on Palmer - let's have some action - none of this stalling nonsense.
Frevola gets underhooks to prevent Palmer's takedown attempt.
#TD2# Frevola decides to pull guard. Frevola pulls Palmer in close to his closed guard and prevents Palmer from doing any damage or advancing position. Palmer pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Frevola is keeping the position for now. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.#T3# Frevola is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Palmer is controlling him. Palmer trying to control the position from guard on top but Frevola is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Palmer looking to control the position here, rather than advance. #REF3# The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.#T4# There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Palmer misses with a head kick.
Palmer throws a head kick but Frevola moves out of range.
Palmer slaps away a takedown attempt from Frevola, before circling back to the center of the mat. Palmer wants to clinch. Frevola tries for a takedown but Palmer sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Cole Palmer has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Matt Frevola. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!#CL2# Frevola closes the distance and pushes Palmer back into the cage.#BC# Palmer's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Palmer misses with a head kick.

Cole Palmer dominated that round. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!#R2##TD2# Frevola bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Palmer bucks up and tries to throw Frevola off but instead Frevola has got his back!#SUB2# Palmer defending nicely against the rear naked choke attempt.

Palmer knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Frevola on the ground. Palmer prevents Frevola from getting a body triangle.#T1# Frevola lands with a nice looking elbow that stuns Palmer.
Frevola lands punches and elbows. Frevola lands a shot to the body. Watch the back of the head! Comes the shout from the referee towards Frevola.
A lull in the action here.
Palmer is taking damage to the body and head. #T2# Frevola controlling the position well here. Palmer rolled but Frevola kept the hooks locked in and stayed in the dominant position.
Will Frevola go for the finish here or will he try and keep control of the position?
Matt Frevola has got the better of the ground game so far. Frevola lands a punch to the side of the head from the back. Palmer trying to control the hands but Frevola breaks the grip. #SUB2# Frevola is working hard for the rear naked choke here.
Can Palmer hold on?! Frevola is landing more strikes to his hapless foe.
Frevola has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Frevola looking to soften up his opponent with punches.
