We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Sang Min can do anything to dispel that myth. Sang Min wants to control but Typhoon is keeping busy and won't allow it. #R1# Typhoon misses with a takedown and Zimmerman counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Typhoon has done a lot of speed work in the buildup to this fight. Typhoon tries for a takedown but Zimmerman circles away easily and Zimmerman counters with a stiff right hand. Typhoon has his takedown stuffed enabling Zimmerman to counter with a crisp jab. Zackary Zimmerman has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Typus Typhoon. Typhoon shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Zimmerman counters with a crisp right that sends Typhoon to the canvas! Zimmerman follows up with punches from the mount and this one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:37 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Zackary Zimmerman! After winning the bout, Zackary Zimmerman thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility. Santos stays in close to Typhoon's body and controls the position. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Santos is looking to work some ground and pound but Typhoon has wrist control. Typhoon looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it. Typhoon keeping moving, preventing Santos from controlling successfully. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. The fighters connect hands in the middle of the mat and we are under way.#CL2# Slug gets a clinch. #TD2# Slug ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground.
