Cloud wants to clinch. Cloud moves in looking to clinch but Highlander pushes him off. Highlander looks like he wants to counter punch here. Cloud misses with a jab, cross combination.
Cloud fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Highlander looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath. Highlander blocks a jab.#CL# Cloud has Highlander up against the cage in a clinch.
I was talking to Cloud's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight.#TD2# Highlander ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Highlander no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Highlander keeping moving, preventing Cloud from controlling successfully. Highlander looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.#SUB# Cloud drops back for a leg! and Highlander takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. A jab from Char does it's job there. Elijah Highlander seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Char's jab looks to have found its range, popping Highlander under the eye.#ROC2#Highlander is rocked! Highlander walks right into a perfectly timed right hook and goes down hard! He's out cold! The ref cradles Highlander limp body while Char jumps on to the cage and waves to the roaring crowd. Wow that was just a brutal knockout!

It seemed like Highlander was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it. Licker will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

#R1##TD# Mason shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Mason was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! Highlander is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Mason off and has taken his back! Mason is defending well here and trying to improve his position.

We've been hearing good reports from Mason's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today. Highlander is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Mason sitting in guard, not really doing much. Mason lands a couple of elbows. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Mason landing with the ground and pound. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Mason not doing a lot at the moment.
