Tavernelli uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Temirbekovich has time to react. Temirbekovich misses the jab. Tavernelli misses with a straight right. Temirbekovich was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger. A jab from Temirbekovich misses. Tavernelli lands an overhand right. #R1# Imanaga tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Tavernelli paws at him with a jab and circles away. Tavernelli throws a big shot that misses. Imanaga flicks out a counter leg kick but Tavernelli steps away. Tavernelli ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Imanaga moves away. Imanaga should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete. Imanaga throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Tavernelli's head. Tavernelli connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Imanaga momentarily.
Tavernelli closes the distance and clinches up with Imanaga, looking for a takedown. Tavernelli pushes Imanaga against the cage but Imanaga circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Imanaga throws a counter combo.#TD# Tavernelli fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Imanaga sprawls well initially but Tavernelli persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Tavernelli is trying to advance to mount but he's lost his balance and Imanaga reverses the position - he's now on top in Tavernelli's guard.
