Ross leaves Philips with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. A punch lands to the side of Philips 's head but he takes it in his stride.#CUT#It looks like Xander Philips has been cut. Ross avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Ross moves in looking to clinch but Philips pushes him off. Ross comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range. A head kick from Ross lands but Philips takes it in his stride. Ross looks to land a combination but Philips avoids it well. Ross takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Ross takes a little breather and maintains the position.
