Joao Drogo had a terrible time trying to make weight. After initially coming in at 173.5, he had two hours to make the official fight weight. Stepping on the scales for a second time, he still failed to make the required weight and after much deliberation, his fight with Thai Shamwong was cancelled. |

Shamwong tries a head kick but it misses.
Thai Shamwong seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Yagan scores with a hook to the body. Shamwong takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
Yagan fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Shamwong on the side of the head.
Yagan works the jab nicely.

The crowd cheers as Yagan lands an impressive looking overhand right. Shamwong doesn't seem phased though.
Yagan closes the distance and catches Shamwong with a lead hook that drops him to the canvas! Shamwong is clearly dazed and struggling here! 3,4,5,6,7 and Shamwong is up to his feet but the referee has called it off! Shamwong is still far too wobbly and he's not going to allow the fight to continue! Yagan takes it!
