#R1# Yagan scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard. Yagan ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent. Tidam Yagan seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Yagan darts in and out, connecting with a jab. Yagan connects with a nice looking jab.
Yagan dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Yagan lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.#ROC#Shamwong is rocked! Yagan misses with a straight left. It seemed like Shamwong was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it. Shamwong is still on wobbly legs! Can Yagan finish him? We've been told by Yagan's head coaches at St Petersburg MMA Center that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight. Yagan throws a hook to the side of Shamwong's head but Shamwong sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Shamwong seems to have recovered his senses. Shamwong throws a head kick but Yagan moves out of range.
Shamwong takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Shamwong takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Shamwong moves out of range as Yagan throws a body kick.
Shamwong's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Yagan connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Shamwong scrambles back to his feet.#T1# Shamwong slips under a jab. Yagan swats away the attempt to clinch by Shamwong. Yagan was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger. Yagan scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Shamwong doesn't seem bothered though. Yagan feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Shamwongs jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist! A big right from Yagan misses. Shamwong was about to counter that last move with a leg kick but changes his mind. Shamwong takes a kick to the body and keeps moving. Shamwong has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Shamwong there as he acknowledges the shot. Yagan changes levels and scores with a jab to the body. Jab, jab by Yagan - just one landing. Yagan connects with a body shot. Shamwong looks winded!#T2# Yagan looking to land some kicks to the body here.
Shamwong throws a big counter head kick but Yagan avoids it with no problem. Yagan misses with a looping left. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Shamwong with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Yagan to score with a decent uppercut.#CL# Yagan gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. Yagan softening up his opponent with strikes, against the ropes. Yagan lands a body shot. Yagan scores with a nice hook to the head. Yagan lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Shamwong backwards. The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end. Tidam Yagan dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Yagan connects with a good right hand that stumbles Shamwong. Shamwong circles away out of range and recomposes himself.#KD# Shamwong walks into a straight right hand and goes down! Yagan rushes to a neutral corner so the count doesn't get delayed but Shamwong has made it back to his feet on 5. He's OK so we're back to the action. Shamwong misses with a low kick.

The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Nice body kick there by Yagan. Yagan works Shamwong's body with a nice hook. Shamwong walks straight into a perfectly timed right hook, crumpling him to the floor! Shamwong is in all kinds of trouble here - can he beat the count? 3,4,5,6,7,8,9....10 - he's out and it's by a long way too - he didn't ever look like beating that count!

#TD2# Johns has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Shamwong uses from the top position. Johns controlling the position. Johns lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.#REVB# We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. Johns is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position. Johns trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Johns controls from within his opponent's guard. #SUB# Shamwong is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
#T1# Johns slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. Johns working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Shamwong's head. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Johns postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.#SUB# Shamwong has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Johns can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Johns slips nicely into half guard. Joao Drogo had a terrible time trying to make weight. After initially coming in at 173.5, he had two hours to make the official fight weight. Stepping on the scales for a second time, he still failed to make the required weight and after much deliberation, his fight with Thai Shamwong was cancelled. |

Yagan fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Shamwong on the side of the head. Yagan works the jab nicely. Shamwong throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Yagan's head. Shamwong walks into a stiff left hand from Yagan. A head kick misses from Shamwong. Yagan lands a slapping body shot.

Shamwong is clearly dazed and struggling here! 3,4,5,6,7 and Shamwong is up to his feet but the referee has called it off! Shamwong is still far too wobbly and he's not going to allow the fight to continue! Yagan takes it!
