#R1# Wheeler misses with a takedown attempt and Wheeler takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. #TD# Wheeler closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Mcdowell's guard. Wheeler postures up and lands some nice ground and pound. Wheeler wants to pass the guard but Mcdowell is keeping the position.#SUB2# Mcdowell escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Wheeler gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Wheeler is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Mcdowell can do anything to dispel that myth. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Mcdowell looking for a sweep. Not yet Mcdowell, not yet. Wheeler pushes down on Mcdowell's leg and manages to get into half guard. Mcdowell really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Wheeler. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.#T2# The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Wheeler passes to full mount! #SUB# Mcdowell tries to improve his position but Wheeler has taken his back! Wheeler has a choke - it's sunk in pretty tight... Will Mcdowell tap? No... maybe... yes! He's tapped! Wheeler pushes Mcdowell away and gets up to celebrate with his corner!
