Bravo tries to circle away but Weaver has him pinned against the cage. Bravo tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked. Bravo blocks a punch to the side of the head.
Bravo is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Weaver gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt. Bravo is looking for a takedown. A head punch blocked on the inside by Bravo. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Weaver swings wildly with an uppercut but Bravo uses good head movement to avoid it. Bravo's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button! Weaver has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Bravo with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. Weaver is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Bravo can do to turn this around? Weaver not landing any meaningful shots this time. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Weaver controlling the action here. Bravo seems to have recovered his senses. Weaver seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Bravo does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Bravo avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Weaver. Bravo tries to clinch up. Vargas tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Bravo looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Vargas throws a counter combo. Vargas scores with a head kick. Bravo tried to block it but didn't get his arm up in time. Vargas has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout. Vargas misses with a body shot.
