#R1# Knuckles fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Pickleson manages to avoid it.#CL# Pickleson drives through and clinches with Knuckles against the cage.
Pickleson changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Knuckles fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Knuckles slaps away a takedown attempt from Pickleson, before circling back to the center of the mat. Pickleson tries to clinch enabling Knuckles to counter with a crisp jab. Pickleson gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there. Pickleson shoots in but Knuckles avoids the takedown attempt easily. Knuckles is clearly trying to counter these attacks from Pickleson with a body shot. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Bob Pickleson. That's going to take a lot out of him. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Knuckles misses with a few strikes there.
Pickleson moves to clinch but Knuckles breaks away #KD2# and Knuckles counters with a nice right hand that sends Pickleson toppling to the canvas! Pickleson scrambles and gets back to his feet - can Knuckles finish him?!#ROC2#Pickleson is rocked! Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Pickleson takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch. Pickleson is trying hard to land a takedown here. Knuckles sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. A little jabbing left from Knuckles on the counter but it doesn't find it's target. Pickleson is breathing heavily.#T1# A shot to the liver by Knuckles. Beautiful body shot. Knuckles drops Pickleson with a huge uppercut! Pickleson drops to the floor like a sack of potatoes. Knuckles is raining down punches and the ref stops the fight! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:13 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Chuck Knuckles! In his post fight interview, Chuck Knuckles started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception. |
