Ruane looked to counter that last move with a leg kick but didn't pull the trigger.

and Ross counters with a left and a right that stings Ruane.
Ross scores with a crisp jab that stopped Ruane in his tracks.
Ross connects with a good straight punch right through the guard and follows up with a right hook and a left hook! That last one sent Ruane tumbling to the canvas! Ross pours on the pressure with more strikes and the referee has no hesitation diving in to stop the fight! Ruane was done - good stoppage!

Rey Ross opened up his post fight interview with a scream to camera that he wants a title shot! Whether he deserves the shot will be up to the management of the organization, so I guess he'll have to wait and see. |

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Nick Chapman.
