Ewing misses with a straight left. Ewing misses with a hook. A big left from Ewing misses. Yukimura looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Ewing misses with an uppercut. Yukimura throws out a counter right but Ewing avoids it with no problem. Ewing throws a hook but Yukimura blocks it.#TD2# Yukimura throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Ewing tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. It looks like Yukimura might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.#T2# A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Ewing is trying to keep Yukimura in close.
#REF3# The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. Ewing fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Yukimura manages to avoid it. Ewing throws a hook but Yukimura avoids it easily. A big left from Ewing misses. Yukimura looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it. Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Ewing, as that shot connected.

Yukimura steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Ewing.#T3# Ewing throws an overhand right that lands on Yukimura's shoulder, as Yukimura tries to avoid the shot. Ewing misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Ewing takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.#KD# Ewing cracks Yukimura with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! Yukimura looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away… can Ewing finish him?
#ROC#Yukimura is rocked! Ewing definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight. Ewing finds Yukimura's off switch, with a big overhand right that connects perfectly to the side of the head! Yukimura flops back against the cage, eyes gazing into the distance. Ewing lands an unnecessary shot before the referee has time to step in and end the fight. Brutal stuff but I'm sure Yukimura will be OK.

This TWGC bout is 1 fifteen minute round in the middleweight division. Introducing today's competitors. In the red corner, competing out of Montreal, with a TWGC record of 0 wins and 0 losses; Jayden Jordan! And in the blue corner, fighting out of Helsinki, with a TWGC record of 0 wins and 0 losses; Sanada Yukimura! The judges for this bout are Shigeki Sano, Taro Takaoka and Shigeki Fujiwara.
The fighters connect hands in the middle of the mat and we are under way.#CL# Jordan gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.#TD# Jordan pulls guard effortlessly. And that's the end of the fight! Jordan takes the fight on points by 7 to 0. A relieved looking Jayden Jordan thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it. |
