#R1# Kacie Jr tries to score a power double leg takedown but Samson sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Kacie Jr somewhat. Samson half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range. Nice takedown defense from Samson. No joy for Kacie Jr on that attempt. Kacie Jr doesn't succeed with the takedown and Samson counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work. Jack Samson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Helo Kacie Jr. Kacie Jr shoots and misses #CL# and Samson counters into the clinch. Nicely done. Kacie Jr has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Samson is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet. Samson is defending well against a takedown attempt. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Samson's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not. Kaum tries to land a front kick but Samson steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed. Samson swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Jack Samson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Samson circles away from the clinch attempt#TD2# and Samson counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Samson. Kaum is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Samson throws a strike but Kaum rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top. #REVR# Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Haas connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Samson's hands. Sloppy strikes from Haas. Those never looked like landing. Samson misses with a straight right. #R1##TD# Samson closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Umarov's guard. Umarov wants to get back to his feet but Samson passes into half guard.
Umarov looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!#REVB# Samson performing his best blanket impression for a moment. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Samson has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.#T1# Samson's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.#T2# A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Samson seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground.
