and Cole counters with a nice uppercut. We've been told by Canhoto's head coaches at Mark Roland Jiu-Jitsu that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Canhoto tries to clinch there but Cole circles away.

The fight stays on the outside here - Canhoto looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Smith swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect. Canhoto lands with a hook. Smith tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head. Smith tries to close the distance and clinch but Canhoto swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Canhoto is looking to clinch but Smith is avoiding it.
