#R1# Chief tries for a takedown but Daerji circles away easily and Daerji makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.#TD2# Chief feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Daerji can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Chief controls the pace. Chief missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Chief throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Chief lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard. Daerji knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Chief on the ground. Daerji is trying to keep Chief in close.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Daerji being controlled here, momentarily. #R1# Chief misses with a takedown attempt letting Char counter with a right hand. Chief tries for a takedown but Char sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Char is looking to counter with a shot to the body. Char scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business. Chief doesn't succeed with the takedown and Char counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Arctic Char has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Tribal Chief. Chief with a poor takedown enabling Char to counter with a crisp jab. Chief with a poor takedown letting Char counter with a right hand. #ROC#Chief is rocked! Char cracks a nice hook into Chief's ribs. Chief looks winded! Chief tries to check a leg kick but that clearly hurt him. Char lands a nice looking body shot.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Chief doesn't succeed with the takedown and Char counters with a right hand to the body. #T1# Char fakes a right and follows up with a big left that drops Chief to one knee - oooooh, he's wobbly! Chief looks to clinch but Char throws him off and pummels him into the canvas! Chief taps out under the strikes! The fight is over!
