Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Carmont lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Ferreira has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Ferreira and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.
Ferreira lands a head shot.
Carmont avoids a punch combination nicely.
Carmont lands a jab to the head.
Carmont misses with a looping left.
Ferreira tries to clinch up but Carmont circles away and keeps his distance.
Carmont will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Ferreira tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Ferreira fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
Carmont looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.

Ferreira throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Carmont.

Ferreira tries to close the distance and clinch up against the ropes but Carmont paws at him with a jab and circles away.
A left and a right from Ferreira both land. Nice combination.
Ferreira throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.

Carmont gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Carmont is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Ferreira wants to get back to his feet but Carmont is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

Carmont slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
Carmont passes Ferreira's left leg - he's now in half guard.

Carmont has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Ferreira defend it? Carmont steps over the head and cranks it - Ferreira is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Carmont!

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

StJohn throws out a counter right but Carmont avoids it with no problem.
StJohn misses with a wild combination.
StJohn throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Carmont listening to his corner there, landing a nice uppercut.
No joy there for StJohn, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
StJohn misses with the combination.
StJohn is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Carmont.
StJohn looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Carmont throws a leg kick
and StJohn counters with a big right hand! Oh Carmont is in trouble here! StJohn follows up with more strikes and that's it! The ref has stopped it!

Carmont comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Carmont fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Cartier is out of range.
Cartier pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Carmont misses with the combination.
Carmont throws a big shot that misses.
Carmont throws a right and a left that both miss.
Cartier lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected.
Cartier throws a solid leg kick but Carmont takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Cartier.
Carmont scores to the head and body with a nice combination!#CUT#It looks like Cordon Cartier has been cut.
Cartier checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time.
Nice jab there from Carmont.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Carmont was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.

and Carmont takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.

As Carmont backs off Cartier throws a huge counter combo but Carmont manages to avoid it all.
Cartier throws a right hand that Carmont ducks under and follows up with a left that Carmont also avoids with ease.
Whack! Carmont lands a heavy head kick that drops Cartier. The ref tackles Carmont to stop the fight - a great save by the referee because Cartier was done.
