Grip turning a nasty shade of purple. He's refusing to tap but he's gone! He's out! The ref rips Ngata off and cradles Grip's limp body as Ngata celebrates with his corner.

A really sloppy takedown attempt there from King.

Grip shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
Grip trying to control the action but King is working from the bottom.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
King is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. #T1#
King is looking to get full guard. It looks like he might be successful but at the last minute Grip jumps into side control!
King manages to work his way to half guard, despite Grip's best efforts.
Grip winds up and cracks King with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
King is staying active underneath Grip, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

King wants to improve his position but Grip is controlling well.

King really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Grip. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
King circles away from the clinch attempt.
King works over Grip's head and body with a nice combination.
Grip slips under a jab.
King is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
It appears Grip was looking to counter with a kick there.
King fails in his attempt to clinch.
Grip shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as King sprawls well. King wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Grip gets slowly back to his feet.

King shoots in and bounces Grip off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.

Junior King showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Horrible takedown attempt by Ruane or perhaps it was just good defense by Grip, which made it look bad. #KD#
Oooooh!!! Ruane has knocked Grip down with a huge combo! Ruane steps away and waves a wobbly Grip back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!#CUT#It looks like Max Grip has been cut.
Grip avoids a kick to the body.
Ruane tries to clinch up.
Grip dives in and grabs Ruane's left leg, looking for a takedown. Ruane pushes down on Grip's head and hops out.
Ruane looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Grip is fending him off so far but Ruane persists. Nope, Grip circles away and we're back to standing.

and Rantanen counters with a nice right hand that sends Grip toppling to the canvas! Grip scrambles and gets back to his feet - can Rantanen finish him?!#CUT#It looks like Max Grip has been cut.
Grip throws a sloppy head kick and Rantanen moves out of range easily.
Rantanen was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.
Rantanen drops Grip with a big left hand! Grip is injured, injured bad! Rantanen jumps in and finished him with strikes! The fight is over!
