#R1##TD2# Reno scores with a takedown into Rizal's guard. Reno stands and throws Rizal's legs to the side, diving into side control. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Reno in side control, just content to control the action for now. #SUB2# Reno is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Rizal knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.#SUB2# Reno is working for what looks like an arm triangle here. Rizal is trying to escape and Reno transitions quickly into an armbar! He's slapped it on tight and Rizal is forced to tap! Nice work there by Reno! Very nice indeed!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:59 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Ronaldez Reno! |

#R1##CL# Alabama closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. #TD# Alabama jumps into guard, dragging Rizal to the mat.
Alabama pulls Rizal in close to his closed guard and prevents Rizal from doing any damage or advancing position.#SUB# Rizal wants to stand up, so he's looking to wriggle free of Alabama's closed guard. He's half up but Alabama has locked on to an arm! Uh oh! Alabama pivots and extends the arm, Rizal falls face first to the mat and taps??... does he?? YES! He's tapping! Excellent counter grappling there by Alabama! Well done that man!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:28 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Buddy Alabama! |
