Calderon can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Chimaev controls the pace. Chimaev working some strikes from top position. Chimaev is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact. #SUB# Calderon looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Chimaev has picked Calderon up and slammed him! Calderon can't keep hold of the triangle and Chimaev manages to pass to side control! Chimaev tries to get to his feet but he's trapped momentarily. Oh Baby is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Chimaev controlling the action here for a moment.

Battle trying to stall but Chimaev improves his position.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. No luck for Chimaev with that takedown attempt. Battle half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range. No joy there for Chimaev, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Battle appears to be looking for a counter takedown. Chimaev shoots for a double leg takedown but Battle sprawls well. He's pushed Chimaev's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. No, Li has managed to get both his arms back between Chimaev's legs - danger averted.#SUB2# Li avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Li knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Chimaev on the ground.#SUB2# Chimaev has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Li can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Li has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Chimaev keeping moving, preventing Li from controlling successfully. Asskren stuffs the takedown attempt from Chimaev. Chimaev gets slowly back to his feet. Asskren goes for a double leg but Chimaev avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Chimaev continues to drive forward. A frustrated look appears on Asskren's face as he tries to break the clinch. A battle for position here, against the cage. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. The fighters are pressed against the cage, as the pace of the fight slows. Asskren managing to block the knees to the body from Chimaev.

Bonton misses with a takedown attempt #CL# and Chimaev counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Chimaev. Bonton wants to take the fight to the mat but Chimaev manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch. Khamzat Chimaev has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now.
