and Everett counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Everett is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.
Clark is looking to improve his position.

Everett is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
Everett is nestled in close to Clark, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Everett seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Clark for as long as he can get away with.

Clark slips a jab and a cross from Bartlett.
Bartlett is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.
Gary Bartlett seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Bartlett lands a jab-cross combination.
Clark sees an opening and throws a straight punch right through Bartlett's defenses. It connects perfectly with Bartlett's jaw and knocks him out cold! Wow - that's a contender for knockout of the year - absolutely brutal!
